My name is Mike Gaabel, and I’ve spent my life overcoming challenges through hard work, resilience, and determination. Born in 1957, I earned a degree in Engineering and moved to the U.S. in 1986, building a successful career as a telecommunications technician—until my life took an unexpected turn.
In the 1990s, I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, a newly discovered virus at the time. For 17 grueling years, I endured harsh Interferon treatments, forcing me to leave my profession. Undeterred, I pivoted to the restaurant industry—a field I knew nothing about—and through sheer willpower, I built three thriving Italian restaurants in Manhattan. Success followed, but the 2008 financial crisis wiped out my investments.
I started over, rebuilding my fortune, only to lose everything again during COVID-19. Now, at 68, with health challenges and no possibility of restarting, I rely on a modest Social Security income of under $2,000 a month—far below my $3,100 mortgage and government loan repayments.
Refusing to surrender, I launched affiliate websites to generate income, but progress has been slow. They say success takes time, but after eight months, I’ve earned less than $1,000. I’m reaching out for support to help me through this difficult period.
